If that were true, Obama would have reversed the trend. He didn't. He instead widened the gap.

We have the private sector and stock market doing great, what's wrong with capitalism that soaring profits don't equate to more jobs and better paying ones?
We dont have a capitalism economy right now. What we have is government making it difficult for competition to enter into the marketplace thus those companies who are already there are seeing record profits, and with less companies you have less jobs.

Once again, its government causing the current economic crisis while liberals run around and applauding it taking place.

We've never had a true free market economy.

But when did this government interference economy start? We've had declining wages since the 70s.

Really? The world is booming and the private sector is reaping in record profits, why isn't that translating to better jobs and wages for the average joe domestically?

In 2012, conservatives campaigned on the economy and the deficit. Both have been improved since then, what gives? Why isn't the private sector doing what the conservatives told us it would?

Republicans have held neither the presidency nor the majority in Congress for the entire 3 decades. Plus, the gap is WORSE now with a Dem president and Senate.

It started with Reagan, remember him? Republicans don't actually have to have a president and congress to campaign on supply side economics. Conservatives have been beating that supply side drum since Reagan.

The gap is worse because the private sector has gotten better at maximizing profits through offshoring, technology, and overall reduction in labor costs. You do realize productivity is at records highs under Obama and democrats.... Along with private sector profits. Yet.... It aint trickling down....

none of that is true. Corporate america is pulling in record profits but corporate america doesnt employ the majority of americans, small businesses do, and they are choaking with regulations and limited profits.
