Very sad but very true.

If he's innocent and there's not evidence to support the charges, he shouldn't have to go to court in the first place.

Is he even privy to the information in the investigation. It astounds me he would say something like that especially considering all the inconsistencies and outright impossible things being said by these witness's. He's on some thin ice with statements like that.

I look forward to holding you to this statement

Remember, if he is cleared - he will have been judged innocent by "public court" (aka the legal system).

This. If there's no evidence to support proceeding to trial, then there shouldn't be a trial. Putting one on just for show would be a waste of money and time.

100% agree. His statement is just a sad sidebar in this ugly saga that highlights the utter disgustingness of our elected officials. Makes me want to puke.

Not to mention putting the state at risk of being sued for malicious prosecution.

Officer Wilson will never be able to go on street patrol in Ferguson again regardless of guilt or innocence.
