In 2006, it was 814, in 2030, it will be 923. Why are people worried about immigration with this info?
Better question: do you think Mexicans will still immigrate to the United States if this was the case, and would the children of the immigrants stay in the United States (even the ones who speak spanish)? Because with all these boomers retiring, well have a labor shortage.
So, I want to hear your guys opinions on this:
Will Mexicans still immigrate? What percent of immigrants will stay?
I was under the impression that many of the current immigrants are from Central America rather than Mexico. I've been hearing that for years, part of the reason so many die of dehydration crossing on foot in the desert - they're not prepared for such a dry climate coming from a tropical one. Of course that was when they actually tried to evade the Border Patrol.

There's more middle eastern, Asian, and eastern Europeans walking across as well.
2. Why would they? Seriously, is this a real question?
3. The War (On Some) Drugs is a joke no matter how we slice it.
I've read somewhere, that only 16 percent of Mexicans want to stay permanently. But that probably won't be too noticible, as there are other Latino immigrant groups.
