The conservative partisans around here don't present too many facts. Case in point, there's not a lot of fact involved in posting a video about first time gun users that happen to be liberal.
Did you see the responses? A lot of liberals and/or anti-gun types were insulted, even though there was nothing insulting about the video or my post. IMO, that says a heck of a lot about those people.
And what facts was I supposed to post? It's a video of first time shooters. Should I have written that they were first time shooters? Oh, wait, it's in the title. Should I have written that they're liberal? Oh, wait, it's in the title. What facts should I have presented, remoddahouse?
I think you made a poor choice in the case you selected to illustrate your point.
I'm a Liberal and when in the Navy was rated expert on the 1911 0.45 pistol. I don't have a functioning gun today because there is no need for such a tool in the modern urban home. If I lived out in the country, I'd almost certainly have a couple of guns but doubt I would find a need for a pistol.

People involved in home invasions might disagree with you.
I'm a liberal that has fired more different types of weapons (thanks to my stint as an infantryman) than most conservatives I know and I still don't get the gun fascination. It's just a damn gun..big deal.
I've seen more punks packing pistols than I can count.. You conservatives are easily impressed I guess.
That's backassward reasoning. It's the gun grabbers who are obsessed with our right to own weapons, and especially carbines with a pretty dress on.
If they left us alone with our right to own weapons, we'd never say a thing about their right to choose not to.

No one cares about your guns. Simply put, you want to feel as if you're some part of a group that is being obsessed over by the government. You need it to feed your paranoia..and your ego.
If you didn't have guns to accuse someone of wanting to take, you'd invent some other conspiracy about some other object you own...like your Foreman Grill or your Stair Climber.
