"Anonymous released audio from the St. Louis County dispatch from the afternoon of Brown’s death. According to the Post, the authenticity of the recordings has been confirmed.
In the recordings, a dispatcher said Ferguson police asked for help to assist with crowd control in the area of the shooting and asked for permission to send an officer.
Moments later, the dispatcher said she hears an officer is involved in a shooting, but the information is coming from local media.
Anonymous sucks. They released the wrong identity of the police officer. Do you have any idea what affect this has had on him and his family. What a screw up
What do you mean? Was that dispatch call about Wilson or not?
Mike was a big guy who his family called their "Gentle Giant." He was built to be a high school football player -- direct from central casting -- but Mike was too timid for the sport. According to friends and family, he had never been in a fight in his life. And, of course, it logically follows that Mike Brown had never had a criminal record or a single run-in with the police. He lived with his parents and threatened and intimidated no one. At school, he was that kid who was full of jokes and trying to make others laugh.
If the whole situation wouldn't be so sad, the article vs reality would be hysterical.
I live in a state with a lot of blacks, and a lot of illegal immigrants. The immigrants work very hard, and come here specifically to work the farms (and other occupations) in my state. How come I don't see any blacks working the jobs the immigrants work?
Jobs are there, the willingness to work a hard days work for an honest buck.. not so much. Especially with the entitlements (SNAP, welfare, section 8, Obama phones etc).
Fergurson shoe store looted...
and not one pair of work boots taken,
but all the loafers were gone...wth!
Its not always easy if you have stringent requirements. You have to be creative.
Sometimes you have to partner with the local schools and grow your own future pool. Sometimes you have to use media to get your need out other than just job ads.
Still most people that want to figure it out do. I've never seen a company, or govt agency(especially a government agency) not be able to resolve a recruitment problem within a year or two of focusing on it. I simply don't buy it except in times of extremely low unemployment.
The government generally doesn't care much about quality so they often put diversity ahead of merit. In the private sector there most certainly is trouble recruiting blacks. Look there are disparities in society, to think these disparities don't manifest themselves in the job market is unreasonable.
Soooo.....to follow the logic of black "leaders"....
Only whites should prosecute white crime and only blacks should prosecute black crimes.
"A one-page letter from the “Justice for Michael Brown Leadership Coalition” called for Mayor James Knowles and Chief Thomas Jackson “to immediately resign from their positions of authority and if not we will call upon the people to immediately do a recall of the Mayor of Ferguson.”
According to the letter, the coalition includes at least 21 members, including two Democratic Party state senators, Maria Nicole Chappelle-Nadal and Jamilah Nasheed, local committeewoman Patricia Payne, and Robert Ringo, an alderman from the nearby city of Greendale. Other members are affiliated with organizations including the NAACP, the state Green Party, the New Black Panther Party, and the St. Louis Urban League, among others.
The statement also calls for the city to fire Officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown on Aug. 9, an incident that spurred protests both in the city and around the country. Wilson was allowed to leave the city on paid leave by local officials out of concern for his safety.
It also demands that Gov. Jay Nixon (D) “immediately remove” St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch from the case. Nixon said in a statement on Tuesday that he would not do so, while allowing McCulloch the option of recusing himself if he sees fit."
