If the police paint targeting lasers on the chests of peaceful protestors, then there should be some balance. Bloodshed doesn't usually occur if there is a balance of power. No, bloodshed would not make me happy, but showing the government that they don't have all the cards and that the people have the will and ability to stand up to tyranny would make me happy.

It would be a bloodbath. Somebody would fire off a shot, then all hell would break loose.
Well it got on the news here, no one seem to take real issue with it and they are supposed to do so again today. Personally while I agree with them doing so as their right and do not care one way or the other, as with other groups that have also done it here, I also believe it does more harm in the support of gun rights than good, to me it paints the wrong picture and sends the wrong message to many.
Which is the same argument made against the out and proud gay movement of the 80's and 90's. Where do you think the gun groups got the idea?

Point a gun at a law enforcement officer or soldier and they will not wait for you to fire first. Never been in that situation have you, good, and you should hope you never have to, it all happens Very Fast and is Never a Good Thing.

I don't think you can know what situations I have been in. No one should point a gun at anyone unless they intend to shoot them.
