Because even if they are legally married in another state it would not be recognized by the state of Florida. That is not equal protection of the laws.
I'm happy about the State of Florida; this is indeed good news.
But what astounds me is that so many states passed anti-marriage equality laws! Was there a low-lying cloud over the USA that lowered the collective I.Q. when these "laws" passed? One truly wonders.

Presuming you are straight and want to marry the opposite gender would YOU be willing to go to another state to get married? Be honest.
States don't even have a say anymore. The people don't I should say. I dont get the "congratulations" as if anyone had a chance to even stop it or prevent it. It's by force at this point.

Why? Same-sex marriage opponents crowed about every piece of legislation they passed. Same-sex marriage supporters have a right to do the same thing.
