Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has apologized for making "politically incorrect" jokes earlier this week at an event hosted by the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce.
“My comments were in extremely poor taste and I apologize. Sometimes I say the wrong thing," Reid said Friday, according to Politico.
On Thursday, Reid told a predominately Asian-American audience at an event in Las Vegas: “I don’t think you’re smarter than anybody else, but you’ve convinced a lot of us you are.”
He then quipped at the conclusion of his remarks: “One problem that I’ve had today is keeping my Wongs straight.”
"I will not stand idly by while a professional sports team promotes a racial slur as a team name and disparages the American people," Reid said in the letter. "Nor will I consider your invitation to attend a home game until your organization chooses to do the right thing and change its offensive name." - Harry Reid on the Redskins name.
Jokes are jokes. I could care less, except for a couple things.
This is the hypocrites who has railed over the Redskins name. What he said is much more offensive than the Redskins will ever be.
This is the guy always claiming Conservatives are racist. Yet time after time, he is the one who says something racist or offensive. Yet he gets away with it.

Reid owes all of America an apology for using the protection of the Senate floor to spread lies.
