Being around cops in the US is almost more dangerous than committing a crime in a authoritarian state (doesn't matter what type). That risk increases significantly while black. At least there is you commit a crime they don't just shoot you in the streets. You at least get arrested before they punish you.

notice how the cop shoots multiple times after the guy has his hands up.
that guy is lucky the cop is a lousy shot or he'd be dead.
Cops seem to be panicking and shooting. That being said I remember being taught if I am ever pulled over to stay in the car with my hands on the wheel where they could be seen by the officer. I suspect that isn't being taught to young drivers and it is a terrible disservice to them.
Similar happened here in Miami a few years ago. Rookie cop shot the fellow dead. The cop was eventually fired. Small morsel of comfort for the dead man's family.

he was already out of the car when the cop approached him. bs reason the cop gave, profiled him.

I wonder if the Union rep. will protect the cop.
If there was no video footage it would have been "self-defense", administrative paid leave, and he would have been defended by the police department.

Oh yes. Apparently he is threatened by surrender.
He needs to learn from South Park and yell "HE'S COMING RIGHT AT ME!" before firing at people so he can have an easier time getting out of charges.
