I wish the commenters would forget the "color blind" rants.
I am slightly red/green color blind, and I would have no problem seeing the difference between a red or tan vehicle!
Those cops were NOT color blind, they were STUPID!

What if you are wrong?
What if they aren't stupid?

Well, let's look at the facts:
1. They were looking for a red vehicle, so they stopped a tan one.
2. They were looking for a Toyota, so they stopped a Nissan.
3. They were looking for a vehicle with four black men in it, one of whom was apparently waving a gun around, so they stopped a vehicle with a woman and children in it.
4. They didn't realize how WRONG they were until AFTER they had the woman out of the car and in handcuffs.
I really can't see where those actions show a high level of intelligence, ESPECIALLY #4!

Yes, number 4.
After she was "secured", they could ask her why she didn't meet their expectations of being a man waving a gun in a different make and color of a car.
Remember in LA when they were looking for the renegade cop, and they shot up a car of two female newspaper delivery people, in a different make and color of car that the police had been told to look for?
Remember that?
No explanation was ever given as to how that could have happened.
"Officer Wilson never stopped shooting until he ran out of bullets."

If a police officer sees you as a thug, and you openly disagree with his assessment, you are a thug.
It's in their training manual.
You should try to get into a courtroom, and hope that the judge hasn't also been overtrained.

I wish it would happen to me! Here in Canada it would be worth at least $100,000 in an out of court settlement.
Really? There is no way I would put my kids through that nightmare.
