That is actually the recruitment mantra used by terrorists.

What nonsense.

I doubt anyones all that concerned if he lives or dies, we just don't want to spend a few million killing him, and making 4 more as his family gets all upset about it.

Why are you so eager to spend millions and create more of them?

DH and I had this same conversation a couple of days ago.

ISIL just sprung up out of nowhere the last 6 months and suddenly were are about to be overtaken. They are going to kill us all.

With American weapons, too.

To get rid of the pests, you have to exterminate them.

No one has the willingness to exert the kind of violence necessary to resolve this. People get all upset and throw out words like genocide. Given that, doing the half measures that would occur is pointless, and counter productive. There are MORE terrorists now then there were a decade ago.

Yep. They popped up out of nowhere. Their name changes daily from Isis, to Isil to Is. They managed to acquire millions of dollars worth of American weapons, Humvees and other military equipment. They had a video of a beheading that appears to have very likely been faked. They are suddenly enemy #1. It's all so very convenient. Stay tuned for more war.

You lack the ability to get rid of the pests.

ISIS will not and can not be defeated by an American Army. Sorry.

Exactly. As I said before, the only thing that could probably get rid of ISIS, and the roots (not just the grass on top) would be a communist revolution in the Middle East, but the communists in the Middle East would have to fight it out amongst themselves, no outside interference. I am not a supporter of any ism except centrism, but in the Arab world, they are beyond that. Most of those countries are so gripped by Islam they need a Marxist force to sweep the radical Islamists away. It happened in Albania, and the bearded crazies are pretty much, no longer there. I just read that Syria does have communist guerrillas waging war against ISIS/Free Syrian Army alongside of Assad, but that force is small
