Red states love to find innovative ways to squeeze money out of people. Here in Texas we are becoming the toll road capital of the Nation. In the community I moved from we had a bond passed by five communities to fund the widening of a highway that ran between them, the second the bond passed the State informed the people of the communities that they would now be required to pay to drive on the road they just paid for, ain't that just peachy. Just about every highway under repair or being built is either totally a toll road or it is partially a toll road, the sad part is the company that runs the system and is making great profits is not even an American company. Yes, got to love the ways Cons find to make more money while claiming they are not raising taxes.

I was born into poverty, maybe not dirt floor poverty though. All three of us kids made it out. I guess it's what the parents teach and the attitude that helped us.

LOL, those same employers were doing the same before Obamacare, know why, so they did not have to provide benefits.

As did I. My first apartment was so bad, it would only heat up to 59 degrees in the winter. That was before minimum heat laws were in effect. That crappy apartment was all I could afford at the time. Over the years, I worked my way up to the top 1%. If I can do it, so can others.

Huge myth that red states don't tax people like every other state. Blue states have higher taxes, and it's all upfront. Red states claim to have lower taxes, but all sorts of hidden fees. Like your toll road example. In my state, we have a flat income tax of 3%, that's just as low or lower than many "low tax" red states. But, what happens then? We get nickle and dimed on our property taxes, and they are pretty high. In the end, it all balances out one way or another. The only entities who can actually take advantage of the low taxes of red states are corporations, not individuals (unless you're in the top 2%). Red states have "cheaper taxes" only because the property values are lower, on average. California has the highest taxes in the nation, but if you've been living there for a while, you probably have some of the lowest property taxes in the country

I find this funny as hell, welfare in our country is going to make our country collapse, like rome? Ohhhhhhhh but wealth inequality won't cause it? What is it? the top riches 400 peopleof our country of 300+million own more then half of all the wealth in our country. The top 15% own 80% of all the wealth, while the remaining 85% of america is fighting over the last 20%. Uhmmmm in my opinion welfare is critical. Maybe we should ask ourselves how did this happen? Im not anti rich but the truth is and it hard to say these people didn't earn it, being wealthy is fine, but going to xtreams on anything is wrong.

This concept of pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and paying your own way is gone. Sorry
So why are there jobs that Americans won't do?

So your parents were failures? Did they collect food stamps ever? Did you like the government cheese?

(To be fair the government cheese back then made the best grilled cheese sandwiches EVER)

If a company collapses, the blame lies squarely on who is running it.
The collapse of this country will not be the fault of those that do not have no political, monetary, or economic power. It will be from the ones running it which consist of Corporate and Banking Lobbyists and their puppet politicians. The majority of Americans have no control over our government and its policies.

They want to police the world but want everyone else to pay for it.
They want us to prop up the casino on Wall Street and want everyone else to pay for it.
They want us to prop up Big Pharma and Healthcare Industry and want everyone else to pay for it.
They want to have open borders for cheaper labor and want everyone else to pay for it.
They want to create Foreign Trade Pacts with Socialist, Communist Countries and third world countries and want everyone else to pay for it.
They want everyone else to take a paycut in this Globalist Utopia while their earnings continue to climb.

The problem stems from the ones running the ship and they are partisan-less.
