Honestly, who cares any more? The vast majority of blacks are hard working, successful people, so this doesn't apply to them.
The Ferguson rioters, looters and thugs? There will always be some useless scumbags, of every race. They are a lost cause and pretty much irrelevant any more. We shouldn't waste the effort worrying about them.

I agree with this but with all the screaming from the useless scumbags it makes me wonder if when we smile at each other do they say to themselves "I hate whitey". or is whitey just being pc instead of just simply taking the smile for what it is, being kind to each other.
It happened to whites too. How do you think the British ships were manned by crews who brought those slaves to the U.S.? Kidnapping is what it is called today. Then there was the policy of indentured servitude that saw many young white males locked into contracts they neither agreed to or knew anything about.
Since we're on the subject, let me just ask this question. People are against the idea of reparations wholeheartedly. When the slaves were set free in 1865, would you have agreed to give them reparations at that time?
Of course, because THEY were the ones affected. You can't claim that you need reparations too, as someone descended from someone descended from someone descended from x 12. if that's the case, where are my damn reparations? My ancestors were sold to the Caribbean as slaves too
So ultimately we all agree a mass injustice was done to the slaves. Whether or not we agree about giving reparations out to the descendants doesn't matter. Point blank, an injustice was done and that has given way to what we see in the black population today. /Thread

Where they start disagreeing with you is when you say slavery is the one and only reason for the sorry state of affairs today. Societal factors play a part, but not as much as individual ones. Nothing will set you up faster for poverty than having a child (or a bunch of kids) out of wedlock. Yet, most black kids are born into that environment. Who controls that thing between your legs? White oppression or yourself? If you think it's all the white mans fault, you basically admit you cannot control yourself or your reproductive choices and cannot rise above. Your mindset is what's holding people back.
Stop lyin' and singling out black people. The Jews whine about the Holocaust and the Japanese whine about their internment during WWII.
They LIVED it, and they still whine less. I've never heard any other ethnicity anywhere ask for reparations for something that happened a century and a half before they were even alive. Maybe that's why 95% of people think you're full of bull$hit.

If white people had an unemployment rate as high as the black community, we would call that the second Great Depression.
