Why? A foreign army has foreign interests, you won't be at the top of that list. Countries don't meddle in the affairs of others out of some form of benevolence. If you believe that than the military complex has you deceived.
I think you misunderstood.
Not an actually governmental foreign army.
A civilian non governmental trained and equipped army.
Basically you go into a country like Congo and get all fighting aged men you would like a steady paycheck. Train and equip them and assign a Western officer(s) to oversee and command them.
No insane. Look what if some German or English kids convert to Islam, get caught up in radical Islam and carries out an attack on American soil are we really going to bomb Germany and England for what a few citizens did?
Of course not. So why wouldn't the same logic apply to any nation?
That thinking makes no logical sense and couldn't be practically applied.

Germany and England are not controlled by oppressive dictators.
Agree with all of the above. I see absolutely no reason to send young Americans to fight and die for the people of the Middle East once again. If the people of Iraq and Syria don't want ISIS in power there, they can get off their azzes and fight them. No reason for Americans to do the fighting and dying for them.
The problem is people like Hagel and the Chairman of the JCS are telling us that ISIS is already our problem. 'An IMMINENT threat to U.S. interests.' I'd be with you on letting the Iraqis, Syrians, Saudis, Egyptians, Jordanians, etc. fight or not, exist or not, if the administration would shut up about how ISIS is a direct threat to the U.S..
Maybe it's nothing but cover for other reasons to get involved there [permanent bases, Patriot Act 2.0, petrodollar].
Germany and England are not controlled by oppressive dictators.
Bad analogy.
Not an analogy comparing the governments. A response to another poster posting that our policy should be any citizen from any nation that commits a terrorist attack on American soil, that person's nation of origin will be blamed and attacked militarily by America.
Get every illegal person out of the US, no exceptions.
Place 1 million troops along with drones and other measure along the southern border and stop ALL illegal crossings.
Stop all trade with the middle east. Stop buying their oil unless they deliver it to us with their ships protected by their military.
Guarantee that any terrorist attack on US soil or our allies soil will be considered an act of war by whatever country the terrorists came from and will be met with all the military power of the US including nuclear weapons.
