The indictment of Texas Gov. Rick Perry as the mother of all nothingburgers, and even Democrats are steering clear. Some liberals have defended Rick Perry and dismissed the indictment charges as politically motivated. Obama senior aide David Axelrod defended Perry on Twitter, tweeting that “Unless he was demonstrably trying to scrap the ethics unit for other than his stated reason, Perry’s indictment seems pretty sketchy,” and MSNBC called the case against the Texas governor “weak” and “fishy.” ABC, CBS and NBC have completely ignored these liberal criticisms of the indictment.

It's time to look at those behind this scam: George Soros-funded front groups.

Sometimes it seems like there isn’t a single political issue that a Soros-funded group isn’t involved in. Texans for Public Justice, one of the groups behind Rick Perry’s indictment charges, is part of a “progressive” coalition that has received $500,000 from liberal billionaire George Soros.

I'm content to let the wheels of justice turn as they may. If Perry has nothing to to be concerned over, then that's what the finding will be. It sounds like a personal grudge between him and the Austin DA, but if that's all it is, then Perry will be cleared. If it's something more, then it should make for some entertaining news.

I agree that this sounds more like a personal issue. I don't like like Perry politically, but this indictment seems lame to me. And why on earth would Soros bother to throw his money at a non-problem like Rick Perry?

Have to wait for the historical 8 year moment to be over before the 'journalists' begin any investigation that might shine a bad light on the current administration. then they can all be arrested.

Somehow the world of the D-party is devoid of mirrors, they were used the up defending the indefensible obama. Either that or the D-party is made up of vampires who have no reflection and can't see themselves in the charges they direct at repubs.

we all know that this indictment is politically motivated, especially when democrats are shying away from talking about it. that being the case however, it needs to run it course in the system.

Politically motivated indictments are not only incredibly scummy, but a perversion of the criminal justice system. It's also a waste of taxpayer money.

It is done on both sides, of course, but Democrats seem do it with much more frequency. Cap Weinberger & Scooter Libby come to mind. There were a bunch of them during the Reagan years. The Duke rape case was actually an example of a politically motivated prosecution. It was done by a Democratic elected prosecutor who was angling for black votes.

Koch brothers are donating money to help hospitals, blacks, etc. Soros is just an evil socialist who has said his intention if to destroy the economy.

You might want to do some research on who is and the evil that he spreads before you defend him.

Most everywhere Soros, his foundations or his investment money has gone, trouble has followed. He’s helped start revolutions, undermined national currencies and funded radicals around the world. His “foundations have been accused of breaking currency laws” and his investing strategy has been targeted for harming several national currencies.

Do some research how Soros made and continues to make his money.

...and there are equal types on the right yet I don't see you whining about them. Perry got indicted by his own stupidity. In terms of it being a nothingburger, there was enough evidence for a grand jury to bring charges.

I don't think he did anything illegal, but Perry was rather stupid in his actions.
