The Dem. and Rep. are about equal in number so it is the Independents that decide many elections now. It is the Independents whose numbers are increasing. Walking down the plank of party platform, at the expense of what is good for the country, has lost it's appeal to all but the sheep-people.

BK, thank you for posting this, even though the article you selected only picked out certain points and doesn't at all mention the Tea Party, but does talk about how well the Republican governor is doing. So let me show you another positive side to Biden's comments.

Biden spoke in Detroit to union members. The article you posted didn't include the statement that Biden made when he was describing that, in his opinion, the middle class is getting the short end of the stick. At one point he shouted, “So folks, it’s time to take back America!” Interestingly enough, this is a phrase that has been used during the tenure of this Administration by frustrated Republicans, Libertarians, and others, but Obama and Holder are on record that it is a racist comment. See below.

Holder sees 'racial animus' in opposition | TheHill

Despite their feelings that this is a racist statement, Hillary Clinton, Al Franken, Howard Dean, and even early Obama used this very same statement.

It is really gratifying to see that you are posting about an event which finally dispels Holder's and Obama's ridiculous belief that a nationwide sentiment, "take back America," used by both parties alike, is not racist, and that Holder and Obama were only once again hypocritically promoting the idea that if you are not for Obama, you are a racist. I personally am so much looking forward to an America without these two dividers in chief, and I am really glad you agree.
