I remember when the protest was Christmas before Thanksgiving. Apparently things are changing. We'll probably see a move to boycott businesses that put up Holy Displays prior to Labor Day in another decade.

Part of it is that retail is always 4 to 6 months ahead. Swimsuits in January, not August, etc.

The Christmas merchandise is arriving now...why not the decorations?

Yeah, don't look for summer items in August.
However, a winter coat? You bet, we have that!
Yes, I have seen Halloween stuff on the shelves around here before Labor Day.
such foolishness is annoying, if I let it be.
I just laugh at it, and ignore it.

We won't be patronizing any business after November 1 and never do because I have already stocked up everything I need for the Holiday Season of chaos and the shopping crowd that we avoid like the plague.

I doubt the economic impact of someone that spends their days ranting online will have any affect on any of the crappy businesses they can afford.
