Depends, if you are drinking as much as you say you can get for the same price, even in one day, the liver can go, if the heart does not give out first.

Yes, getting seriously inebriated 200 days in a row is not a good health plan.

I drink once a year at an Easter campout, how's that going to mess up my liver?? I was just making a point that I could buy a hundred bottles of rum or vodka for the price of some weeds sold in Colorado..

that's 100 bottles for $600. Colorado sells some weed for over 20 dollars a gram including taxes..

and by the way I drink like once a year..

rum and vodka are cheaper than bottled water here in the usvi..
I can't think of anywhere that sells a fifth for less than $10...and $20 for stuff I would be okay to drink that is not on sale.

Not sure where you get $20 a gram, but there are ~28 grams in an ounce...so $560. Advertisements show that you can get it for $150-$200 an ounce. I can see smaller servings cost more, which is true of every product (and why Costco/Sam's club even exist), but there's no basis in your claims. You would also need to be speaking about every product being more expensive as wrong then and not just pot. Smaller packages of toilet paper, sodas (esp vending machines), chips...as well as the expense of getting a drink at a restaurant can cost the same as a six pack of the same beer at the liquor store.

Even if you are correct, and so far you have no proof, you seem to be okay with it happening everywhere else except with pot. Which is disingenuous and cherry picking to say how terrible it is when nothing else is held to the same standard

That wasn't apparent from your post. In most people's experience, people who drink cheap liquor tend to drink a *lot* of it. Because it sure doesn't taste good, or feel good going down, or even feel good the next day, the only reason to buy it is for quantity. And as others pointed out, $2/fifth is scary cheap.

I {can} buy 100 bottles of 80 proof rum or vodka and get inebriated for 200 days in a row for the price of an once of high grade Colorado weed.. something wrong with that picture

key word is can!!! can and do is another story,, the longest i drank alcohol in my life was 5 days in a row, and that was a long time ago..

I think $20 per gram will be the peak price of marijuana. Yes, the good stuff often still sells on the street for $20 per g and the legal dispensaries are selling it for that but prices seem to be coming down as supply is larger and demand settles.

OR-we could see new waves of cannabis users as more and more states legalize-and the price could stay about the same.
