They've never worked for the American people and our founding fathers knew that which is why they wrote the Constitution they did.

It might interest some people to know for real corruption you need to go back to the civil war and the period right after.

All Politicians should have to wear a jacket with patches for all those they actually work for, would be interesting to see how many different companies each would wear, I know this much none would say "The People".

LMAO...now THAT'S A great idea.

Cantor would've had so many patches that he'd have to start tattooing his face .

The real point her is that the people in Cantor's District primaries one of the most influential CongressCritters in Washington and presented him with his walking papers. The reason most cited was that Cantor was NOT taking care of his District and NOT listening to them.

Those voters deserve a lot of credit. Our system fails to work when good people just allow these CongressCritters to act as though they have a Life Time appt with no accountability.

People need to pay attention.

Cantor is still very comfortably ensconced in the Republican Party. And Republicans are still crony capitalists.

Dumping Cantor didn't change that.

Political ties are what got him the lucrative job, is it not?

There are more and more doors in congress, that lobbyist no longer knock on, because no one answers the door when they knock.
It use to be only 2 in all of congress that lobbyist knew could not be bought, now it is a dozen or more.
There is more accountability today and Cantor felt the wrath. Elected to represent the people and the truth came out that he was easily bought off.

I am just happy to see that greasy worm out of office. Happy to see he even left early like the sore loser he truly is.

I'm just not convinced that these D.C. politicians even bother to take up the people's business anymore, unless "the people" are very, very wealthy.

Nevertheless, i know that Cantor has to make a living. So...whatever.

Gross but natural fit considering his background.

It makes me happy, seeing the little low budget guy, beating the bankrolled establishment campaign hounds, using only the truth.

I recall a thread insinuating he was booted for being Jewish //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...can-party.html
The moral to the story is Conservatives voters of Virginia are tired of insiders.. and finger pointers are quick to scream bigotry.
