Hey, journalists understand the dangers of being on the front line during combat. This is the profession they chose. I feel for the guys family but if you ask me, if you dont want to be killed by these muslim extremists, then dont go where muslim extremists want to kill Americans!.
Obama has tens of thousands of researchers and advisors with access to information that the readers of CD do not have. It doesn't make sense to ask people without access to all of that what they would do. Clearly, what Obama is doing is wrong. It doesn't necessarily mean there is a right solution. Most everybody does seem to feel that just brushing ISIS off is wrong, however. He underestimated ISIS and his current actions appear to not recognize that.
That you or the next guy agrees or disagrees does not make right or wrong.

After a 5 week paid vacation, Congress is back in session and the Cable talk shows will, once again, have an abundance of talking heads spewing speculation as fact.

I wouldn't announce to the world and the enemy that I have no strategy. I also wouldn't have ignored ISIS for over a year waiting until they became a force that had to be dealt with. Sad fact is we have a president who is always reactive, never proactive.

I could just say it's the way of the war profiteers and how they've wrapped the package for the consumer. We have to be really afraid of something, in order to not think clearly - don't you know that is how it works.
Only problem with your assumption and conclusion is Clinton was in office when the terrorists first bombed the trade towers , trying to knock them down.. hitting the USS Cole and other terrorist attacks. What brought that on?? Clinton's words?

The Prime Minister is taking terrorism seriously and is outraged about it. He's taking steps to keep the terrorists out of his own country. He is more outraged than Obama. (Not the French PM, I meant Great Britain )
Every terrorist killed probably results in the recruitment of a thousand more.
That is why ISIS widely distributed the videos of the beheadings. All the major news services are refusing to broadcast these events unedited now. That may cut back on ISIS' recruitment to a degree, but they use the internet just like we do, so it's doubtful that unedited videos will disappear.
For sure, if some personal discipline is used by all who see the unedited vids, and they don't get passed around, their recruitment efforts won't be as successful.
Can we just figure out where the oil is, land our troops and just take the oil fields? Establish a perimeter and pump the oil, put a percentage in an account for a future democratic government held by the Swiss. Don't let any natives onto the land we take. Just take the oil. Let them fight it out among themselves as that nest egg grows.
