maybe people need to understand the difference between respecting the office and respecting the man. And what someone in Canada has to say about it, means little to most of us. I know, personally I respect the position of our President, I would respect him if I ever met him because of his position, but as a person I do not have to like him or respect him.
Is disrespect earned as well? If so what did Candidate Obama do to earn the amount of disrespect he started receiving day 1!!!
It started the day he was sworn in, and the right immediately started beeyotching about the colour of the drapes in the Oval Office.
"Why does he have to stand in front of those puke-coloured drapes? Doesn't he have any sense?"
I do not have to listen to what a Canadian has to say about my feelings in regards to the President. He has his right to his views and I have mine. I do respect the office and if I were to meet the President I would show respect because of his office, but that is different from respecting him: I do not and have no reason to. So far he hasn't earned my respect; I doubt he will.

The minute he starts blaming and attacking republicans he gets turned off so obviously I don't hear much of what he has to say, besides Obama lies a lot. I lost even more respect when he knowingly LIED.. "if you like your healthcare you can keep it period."
Obama is the WORST president I've seen in my life, probably since the beginning of American history.
Obama was never given a chance at all. Republicans disrespected him BEFORE DAY ONE.
WRONG.. Obama LIED and Republicans werent stupid enough to believe you can keep your doctor, your insurance company, cut premiums $2500, add tens of millions of americans, etc
You cant blame republicans for budgets when Democrats held 100% of Congress, but you tried every day day..

Good question. Obama has for the most part been disrespected from before he won the election in the county i work in. Sure have heard a few farmers spouting off that they don't want any G****** N***** telling them what to do.
