So, every other poor person should be "punished" for being poor? They need to be taught a lesson? Are you going to spank them too?

That sounds like a bargain compared to the low-wage worker making 3 minimum wage jobs, 90 hours a week without being able to afford daycare.
oh please...

if they were self motivated, and obtained a SKILL, then they would be paid according to that skill

min wage is for UNSKILLED workers

btw if they 'are' working that many hours for min wage and 'cant afford' daycare...assistance is available as dss

come on everybody, let's scare a liberal...say it loud and proud.... """"pay for performance"""

Irrelevant.
How's that irrelevant? If I make the minimum wage while complaining that I can afford to make payments for my Porsche, you would jump upside down criticizing me for buying the Porsche.

Why having children when you can't afford them?

So "unskilled" workers deserve starvation wages?

(starvation wages would classify as still needing the SNAP program)

Who's punishing them? I said my experience of being poor taught me something. If your experience of being poor didn't teach you anything, so be it.

Strawman. A Porsche and food / rent are not comparable.

Why don't you go into a poor neighborhood and ask them?

Have you gone to your city council meeting to ask them to raise the min wage in your city ?
SeaTac and Seattle did it and now the effort is underway in Bellevue.

By suppressing the minimum wage, you are implying they need to "get a skill" or accept starvation. That is attempting to impose your values on the poor through deliberate wage suppression.

You're giving them a handout anyway, because they aren't earning enough to eat.
