We're the ones fighting against these unrealistic wage hikes that will result in low-skill workers getting displaced by machines or more skilled/experienced workers. The push for $15/hr. is going to end up with more, not less, people in poverty since low-skill workers are going to find themselves unemployable when they're competing against automation or applicants with much more experience or education.

"Business friendly" means corporation friendly. Corporations already pay people borderline starvation wages. The only way to make America "business friendly" is to reduce our own standard living to that of the third world.

Like I said, keep slashing jobs and keep paying for welfare. Simple as that.

As long as the population feels they deserve to eat. If 50% of people are on food stamps and it gets cut, guess who those people are coming after? The pitchforks will come out.

There are two choices:
-Pay a reasonable, sustainable wage.
-Pay for welfare

Which do you choose?

That is the goal of democrats, to push for cradle to grave dependency.

1. how about FIND A JOB and FIND A SKILL for that JOB
2. ELIMINATE all welfare, except disability...

if you stopped welfare, then the people would have MOTIVATION to earn/learn a SKILL, and get a job/better job

scare a liberal...say the words..... """"PAY FOR PERFORMANNCE""""

Your logic is so bent, and that is exactly what it is, warped and misguided, it is down right astounding. That you can actually sit there at say that as a society we have only two choices, that's it, two choices, one being to over pay you for a entry level menial labor job, or support you as you do nothing at all. And to top it off you add a smug wink like you are getting over on me.

There main goal is votes to keep them in office. The low info voters think the government cares about them but really they could care less as long as you keep voting them in and are satisfied with a no frills lifestyle.
I have made pi$$ poor money and decent money and worked my a$$ off in both areas. I would rather make good money and have stuff, savings, travel etc. then just existing and watching cable and playing on computor in airconditioned room. That is boring as hell and makes you fat and lazy.

My earlier post on South Dalota jobs and not being able to get there and afford rent is just an excuse. I have an ex brother inlaw that worked his way there and roomed with several guys and eventually bought a trailer and rents rooms for 500/mo and pays his expenses. He made 90,000.00 last 2 yrs and is saving a chunk so he can move on and live more like he wants.

Buy and old van and live in for a while till you can get bigger place. People who haul freight in cargo vans across U.S. sleep in their vans so anybody else can too. You just got to want it bad enough.
