In fact, you will find no depictions of Christ, his family, or saints in any Protestent church, even though they are Christian religions.
It's only the Catholic church that has those statues and pictures, which actually goes against God's wishes, since he mentioned that no depiction of any kind should be made of him.

That's not true at all. Orthodox churches have icons and statues, as does many Protestant churches. Having icons and statues is symbolization; not idol worship. Mormons and Jehovas don't use them.
I've been in a few Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian churches and have never seen pictures or statues or images of any kind.
You might be thinking of those ornate crosses used by some sects.
