Parroting the idiot in the White House is guaranteed to make one look stupid. Such as the above statement from the CDC.

We have an Air Force, we have carriers, we have airliners chartered by the US Government.

Pray tell how would that make it harder to get medical personnel in and out of the affected areas?

The lunacy spouted by this administration is beyond comprehension.

It all boils down to what your priority is -- protect the economies of the African nations with major ongoing outbreaks or reduce the probability of a significant outbreak in America. If you look at the actions of the CDC in the light of the former mattering more to them than the latter then their actions and statements make perfect sense.
