This lady had every right to defend herself. If she had to tell the boy to go back inside that suggests he was being aggressive, and an elderly woman confronted by a bunch of loud "children" has no way of knowing what their intentions are.
You're joking right. How would you feel if your neighbor pointed a gun at your son because she didn't like him playing the clarinet in his back yard.
So no one should be allowed to have guns because a crazy woman threatened the boy next door with one?
Absolutely, crazy people should not have access to guns and since we have no way of making sure crazy people can't obtain guns therefore they shouldn't be available period.

Just the opposite.
(a) Assuming this lady is "crazy" because she was defending herself is exactly the way the liberal media loves to portray things. The facts suggest this "child" was aggressive and she had no way of knowing what his intentions were.
(b) The solution is never to take guns away from people. You'll notice that these kids came running back inside. Is that the America we want for our children?
A properly trained and equipped 11 year old is quite capable of defending himself and his siblings. At most he was facing a single elderly shooter. Likewise with the mother -- if she understood that guns are merely a tool instead of something to freak out about, she could have used her own firearm to defend her family.
What if she came out with a base ball bat ?
do you know that you can get in trouble having just a base ball bat in your car?
