Odd question. Being a politician, running for office, etc, are not choices anyone but the person has control over. It's like asking "Are you going to let just anyone in town drive a nice car?"

It isn't up to ANY of us to decide if anyone else can be or not be something. That's their choice to make, not ours.

What "experience" would that be? What kind of "experience" does it require to lie, cheat, steal, and be wasteful?

I don't vote because I am an Agorist and I don't believe the State can be a positive force in any way no matter who is elected. However, I don't see how anyone posting here is any worse than any of the tyrants running around as our "representatives". People are people, the politicians aren't anything special. The only thing that makes them unique as a group is that by and large they are all, with very few exceptions, very rich. Seemingly a prerequisite for any high office in this country. Other than that, they are no more rational than any old tyrant romping around here.

Then again, I shouldn't be so harsh to the crowd around here. It takes a special sort of narcissism and megalomania to even want to run for a high office in a institution of aggression.

But they are. Many politicians are like posters on this forum.
