Race Issues Raised When Oakland Firefighter, Kids Detained By Police Officer « CBS San Francisco

Black Firefighter Accuses Cop of Racism in This News Report - Later Proven a Liar in Video - YouTube

Of course we get the standard sob story about how this police officer was abusive and rude and how he was scared for his life.

Quote:
OAKLAND (KPIX 5) — A black Oakland firefighter has filed a complaint with the Oakland Police Department after he and his young kids were detained by a white police officer outside the station where the firefighter worked.
It was 10:45 p.m., after a recent Raiders game. Veteran firefighter Keith Jones and his two sons, ages 9 and 12, were walking back to their SUV at Station 29. A fire crew responding to an emergency had forgotten to close the garage door. Jones went in to make sure everything was secure.
As Jones walked out, he said a police officer, responding to a possible burglary in progress, yelled “Don’t move, put your hands up.”
“And his hand is on his gun. He was crouched, he was low, and he was basically in a shooting stance,” Jones said.
Fast forward a couple days and we find out that the police officer was wearing a body camera. That footage has been released and it clearly shows that this race baiter is a racist liar. This man should be fired from the fire department immediately.

No racism involved, apparently. Maybe the dad and the cop BOTH jumped to the wrong conclusions. I'll bet the police chief and the fire chief both had a good laugh over it.

Someone put in a burglary call. (Likely gave a description of someone looking like the firefighter)

The cop responded to it.

The firefighter had his I.D.

He gave it to the cop.

He checked out as a firefighter.

The kids WERE crying you can hear them in the background - obviously traumatized.

Cop apologized. Firefighter accepted his apology.

End of story.

lol, is this the conclusion you came to after seeing the footage on the cop cam?

because I know it wasn't based on seeing the news footage alone.

See the problem?

You seem to have forgotten the parts where the firefighter lied about what took place, lied about the cops actions, lied about the cop not apologizing and most importantly, the part where the firefighter filed a complaint against the officer for what appears to be a textbook handling of the situation and claiming racial abuse.

What was the problem? Are black men on some kind of mission?

Yes that's the conclusion I came to after watching the cop cam.

But... You know, he was butthurt so figured he should go tell the media and make a scene about something race based to get some sympathy.

It's really got to stop.

Just the beginning, to continue the victim sees $$$ and a lawyer is called who sees even more $$$$. The victim falls to the ground and cries a lot.
