They do, but that is the only time you see them carrying their weapons, guess what you will not see there, handguns. People should really be more careful when deciding which examples they wish to use as examples to prove their point.
So it would be similar to the US allowing the National Guard soldiers to keep their weapons at home. That seems to be what the Founding Fathers had in mind.

If truly we were to follow the Swiss model then there would be no bullets for those guns. Whats the point then?

True, they know that with the size of their Nation time is critical, here in the US not so much.
LOL, I was qualified Expert on the 1911 0.45 when in the service. I'm also aware that keeping a loaded pistol in your home for "protection" substantially increases the chance that someone who lives in the house will be shot. In the military we kept weapons unloaded and locked up in the armory unless we were in a combat zone. We never let a bunch of untrained amateurs walk around armed.
Don't feel sorry for me, I'm not the one huddled in my house afraid that somebody is going to be mean to me.

No, you're the old guy huddled in a corner scared of all the law abiding gun owners walking around causing you no harm... that's when you're not thinking about the size of their penises of course.

Beat me to it.
And to add, qualifying as "expert" 30-40 years ago on one model of handgun is meaningless to this and any discussion re gun control.
In 2013 there were mass shootings in Menznau and Daillon, Switzerland.
Mob killings. Probably Russian Mafia.
