Sounds like I read it just fine. You are in favor of freedom in America as long as people do it in the way you want. Which means you aren't in favor of people living their lives the way they please, just the way you want.
Then expect others to respect that you want to tell others how to live their lives, as well as disparaging them, by not expressing themselves using their freedom of speech. Since it makes you look bad and less people will listen to you.
What exactly does a US monoculture look like? Because I sure as hell have never seen one. What do conservatives have against the very manner in which this country was formed?
All the founders were Englishmen. The core culture of the U.S. was Anglo-Protestant as its population was up until some 60 years ago. Real conservatives no longer exist today.

Do you propose we send the Irish, Italians and Jews back home then?

So conservatism is a genetic trait that doesn't exist outside the Anglo-Protestant community?
So Anglo-Catholics, Anglicans, Lutherans...they were all a distinct different gene-type?

Can you prove this?
I'm just saying that there are no more conservatives in the traditionalist sense (like pre-WWII). They've been taken over by the lefties and show no challenge to the establishment.
