No one in these posts have said it doesn't they are talking about America as in the country or nation itself. Which isn't racist. There will always be racist people everywhere in this world, that does not mean every place in this world is racist
Pretty much that. Guys like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson make a living out of practicing racism. They won't live forever and future generations are moving on.
Purveyors of war are never interested in peace, only eternal conflict....
If there were ever a time people like Sharpton would admit that racism is dead, they suddenly become irrelevant, even more so than they already are. That is why they work as hard as they can to generate racism with their proaganda.
When I see somebody who makes a living talking about racism or is obviously fixated on it, you just smile at them and let them live in the past. The rest of us have moved on.

The "makes a living talking about racism" is key. Bigotry exists, there is no doubt about that.
Nobody is born a Bigot - it is carefully taught .... and if we have learned anything at all in the last several years - it's that Blacks are as guilty as Whites in teaching Bigotry.
The few times in my life that I've come across racial bigotry - I shut them down. It used to be that a few words would stop a racist bigot because it simply was not tolerated in society. That is no longer the case. The incessant charges of "racist,racist,racist" have equated to "they will call me a "racist" for no reason at all - so I don't care".
It's the old parable of the "boy who cried wolf all the time". Pretty soon, everyone just ignores him.

I never said it's non-existent, I said it certainly doesn't exist enough to matter. There are always going to be nut jobs out there, just like there are a fringe monority of people who believe Obama is actually a descendant of a human-like race of evolved lizard people that used to live in an underworld beneath the streets of LA. That doesn't mean we should care. When those people that believe that gibberish start effecting policy, then get back to me.

If anything it's "racist" against whites. When you lose a job because of the color of your skin even though you are more qualified, I'd say that's pretty damn racist to me.
I would say humans, to a certain extent, are naturally racist.
If you are a decent person, you temper your naturally occurring racism....but it is still inside you.
Humans trust and identify with other who are most like themselves.......no biggie.
