STDs have not and will never be normal. It is a DISEASE. That's one biological fact you will never be able to dispute. The only people who have ever caught STDs were those engaging in premarital sex with multiple partners, needles infected by those with the disease, and the innocent babies that caught it through pregnancy. The majority fall under the 1st category and that is what you get when you decide to act like rapid dogs in heat with no self control or morals.
You seem to have overlooked a large group of people that are the spouses of those that catch something and bring it home and those that got through blood transfusions before they were screened for them. So hence you morality play id not quite accurate. How about this use a condom and more common sense when selecting partners, oh wait you would still want to point your morality finger at them.
Sexually transmitted diseases such as Gonorrhea and Syphilis have been around as far back as mankind has been recording history.

This is the problem with this generation. Instead of confronting the glaringly obvious problem of the disease, you'd rather deflect and talk about something else. But they want other people to pay for their mistakes and babies.

STD rates are highest in conservative and black states. Worldwide STDs rates are correlated with poverty.
The U.S. has the highest rate of STDs of any nation in the industrialized world -so you can't blame it on "progressives" when the other industrialized nations are more progressive and liberal. If you want lower STDs rates then teach prevention not just abstinence and provide "free" health care for those inflicted with STDs.
Why? Do you have some you need to get rid of? Not with my tax dollars, thank you. We already have enough types of freeloaders burdening us. I'd rather see that money going to cancer, ALS, MS, etc. patients. They're not victims of self-afflicted wounds. But I am in complete agreement with more and better prevention education.
And allenk, while it has not a thing to do with my political leanings, I'm a senior and I don't have gonorrhea. Imagine that!

I'm not talking about the trashy hippies that had the clap back in the day. I'm talking about having standards, morals, and respect for oneself. Something parents nationwide taught their children back then and they waited until marriage (brought to you by Christianity thank you). And they didn't end up with a disease. Now all of this generation is getting one. I personally don't feel sorry. You want to take God out of schools, government, and your life. Go ahead. Natural selection eventually takes hold of the young, stupid, and liberal.

There;s a reason why prostitution is the world's "oldest profession". get over it, people have been having sex outside of marriage for as long as humanity existed. Don't pretend that sex for pleasure has only been around since the 1960s. It hasn't, it's been around for HUNDREDS of generations. People have been getting STDs for as long as they've been having sex

The usual liberals with their usual attitude. The modern sophisticates looking down their noses at the country bumpkins and their backward notions of morality.
If only drug weren't up, crime weren't up, education wasn't down, unemployment wasn't up, and broken families weren't at record levels. Given the facts, their arrogant attitude is perfectly understandable. They've made a mess of things and can't deny it, so all they've got left is trying to bluster their way through it.
