The latest on the net tonight and spreading like wild fire is this interview with Benazir Bhutto who says that OBL was killed by Omar Sheikh. At 6:12 in the video she makes this claim and oddly, the interviewer does not press this issue.

Well as to be expected, every theory imaginable as to why she was murdered is being interjected.

You can either google it or just catch it here.

What a can of worms! My head is now spinning with conspiracy theory possibilities. Like...why did the US not press the link to 9/11 when it came to Sheikh even though he wired money to Atta? Or...his possible connection to ISI and that there is a possibility it was the General Mahmoud that instructed Sheikh to wire the money, even though Mahmoud was meeting with Bush before and after 9/11. Or...why did the US Ambassador to Pakistan discuss the case of Sheikh before Pearl was even kidnapped?

Well I don't know about all that but after reading some bits and pieces about this Omar Sheikh character, I can see how the stories will abound. If there was anyone on the planet that should have a sit down and a talking to it would seem to be this guy.

Some of the stuff out there on the ISI is rather disturbing as it is hard to tell where US involvement ends and the terrorist groups begin. There is even some evidence between the ISI and Dr. Khan the man who brought Pakistan "the bomb".

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have both meddled in Afghanistan's internal affairs. Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan are not a threat to the region. The other countries do not have many religious fanatics. The Baathist were secular.

USA should not intervene in any of those countries. It can only backfire. They are no true allies. Their values are very different. The Iranian people are friendliest to Americans in the region because their origin and culture is naturally closest to Europeans, and from that to European-Americans. I have spoken with a lot of Afghans who told me the Taliban were made up of foreign fighters. Do not forget USA supported the Mujahedin, the predecessor of the Taliban. Benazir Bhutto's policies were American-friendly. She was no typical Pakistani. Her mother was of Kurdish-Iranian origin, which one could see in her appearance.

There are many radicalised Pakistani boys with a contempt for "western way of life". A lot of them actually live in Londonistan. Madrasas still continue to recruit boys.

I recommend reading what VS Naipaul had to write about Pakistan.

MOD CUT We need to learn from history.
