Yep, It's not if, it's when. Given world history, even over the last 100 years, most all countries borders have been reshaped time and time again. We are not any different. All we have to do is look at the Soviet union, Africa and the middle east to see current examples of countries breaking apart and borders reforming.

Exclusive: Angry with Washington, 1 in 4 Americans open to secession
Well first of all, no one or no state is going to do anything. if it came to a vote, 1 in 4 wouldn't vote for it and that wouldn't do a thing. Plus, what we need is a congress and President that can work together. The Republicans are trying very hard and the President with Reid on his side is trying less. I will add, I am not sure someone living on disability is the best person to be quoting. How about quoting a few more who may have been questioned and remember studies, polls, surveys rarely tell the story. They are slanted to prove the point.

That will never happen. Big mouth whiners all the way of any side. The people who really would do so...just did so without fanfare. The really funny were the people who threatened to move to Canada, which has socialized health care, if the socialist Obamacare was passed.

Reminds me of this:

Oh I am sure the guy that is disabled and was interviewed is a staunch right winger: I am surprised you didn't say old male right, evangelical males are the ones that want secession.

I would be okay if Chicago succeeded from from the US, or bare minimum from Illinois.

why is everything color with some of you? We do not like Obama, you are right, anymore than you liked Bush or his dad or probably RR, but the color has nothing to do with it. He is ineffective, not respected around the world, got in deeper than he thought, obviously did not understand the whole President thing and to be honest, I think he will be happier to leave than many will be to see him gone.

OMG, you can't be serious? or maybe you are. Do you really even follow politics? Have you checked to see how many bills the house has past that are still sitting on Reid's desk years later? Do you have any idea how many times Obama has said, if this or that bill passes I will not sign it? You think fixing gerrymandering would fix the problem? You do realize gerrymandering can help both sides don't you? I could say, if we elect a Republican congress and a Republican president the problems would all be solved? Would you agree with that? Of course you wouldn't. What about the Democrats in congress: congress consists of both the Republican house and Democrat senate.

Leave it to a left winger to constantly base our objection to Obama to be about race/skin color. It's just like clockwork, isn't it? I guess they conveniently forgot that Obama is half white also. They also conveniently forget that conservatives objected to every white Democrat president we have had too.

Actually the district lines need to be done according to the Nation Census, well at least that was the orginal intent. Unfortunately if you look at the district lines in almost any state and either Repub or Dem they look like they were drawn by someone under the influence of massive amounts of alcohol. The district lines need to be redrawn after the next census and by a bipartisan group that actually follows the guidelines for doing so reguardless of which Party it may help or hurt. It would make a Big Difference.

Anyway, you are both right, the Dems in the Senate has sat on way too many Bills without ever bringing them up for review and a vote and the Repubs have done the same with Bills, in paticular the Immigration Reform BIll. There are no clean hands in Congress. The idea is that one House of Congress or the other writes a Bill votes on it and passes it on to the other House. The House is supposed to review it modify where they see fit then sit down and hash out a compromise Bill that Both Houses can agree on. If they had done this the Bill in the House could have been adjusted and an agreement come to and sent on to the President. If that had happened we would have more money for Border Security and we would have a better contol over the flow of illegals comeing into the Nation. If after over 14 months neither side could have come to an agreement then the Voters would know for a fact that those currently in office are useless and need to go when re-election time comes around for those in office. Then they can do what they have been putting off for far too many years and get a darn Budget Bill hashed out and passed and the economy can actually begin it's recovery in earnest.

So as I said there is more than enough blame to go around, and since we are blaming let's blame everyone that is at fault, US the Voters. We elect these People and we keep them there, much of it due to Partisan voting habits that results in many uniformed voters that simply vote along Party lines. That needs to Stop and we need to take responsibility for our own voting actions, those that are willing to stop being Party sheep need to inform themselves on the candidates and the issues and vote in the best interests of the Nation, even if that means voting for someone you would not normally support because of their Party. If enough people do so we can make a difference and get the ship righted, if we don't we get exactly what we deserve azs our government and we get the results of continuing to kick that can down the road, sooner or later that road will end.

Oh, thanks for the note. Back at ya Lady
