Conservatives didn't kill that kid....the combination of police and an irrational fear of a toy that can, at worst, put an eye out killed that kid.
Show me b/c I can't find Conservative outrage for this egregious violation of the 2nd amendment. I can't even find it on the NRA's site, and they're the ones who've been spearheading the open-carry movement.

Just what would you have conservatives do?

This is an insane thread.
How is it an insane bridge to cross to ask why the people who are the most vocal about protecting the 2nd Amendment are strangely silent about this obvious, egregious violation of the 2nd Amendment?

Since when have gun-rights activists deferred to prosecutors when it comes to defending the 2nd Amendment?

Biggest difference being that Utah isn't open-carry, Ohio is. The 2nd biggest difference is that there's clear video evidence of what went down in Ohio, not in Utah.

The question is about who to blame. The question is why aren't Conservatives outraged by this clear violation of the 2nd Amendment?

I have no Idea what this has to do with open carry.
My question is.. Where is Sharpton and his ilk on this matter? Where is their outrage?

Agreed. Yet another person killed by the American public's irrational paranoia and ignorance of anything that even resembles a firearm. The moron that called in the report of a guy with a toy as an "armed man threatening people with a gun" is as guilty as the cop that pulled the trigger.

I have to think that stupid people with cell phones are a far bigger danger than responsible gun owners.

It DOES make me wonder what would have happened if it were a white guy 'exercising his right' to open carry and he was mowed down.

I think it's a very valid observation.
Far from it-gun rights advocates are the ONLY ones that display any outrage about this. Liberals with gun phobias are mum about a black man being shot down in cold blood, over someone's stupidity initiated a 911 call. At the least I hope the caller is taken to civil court and sued over this, if they don't face criminal charges. Manslaughter should be a minimum.

Oh really? My liberal friends have been talking about this story for awhile now on FB. Not a peep from those gun fondlers though, not one peep. How telling.

Tit for tat, then. Here's a liberal gun-phobe not being mum: No indictment in the Wal-Mart shooting death of John Crawford | MSNBC

Show me the the gun rights advocates on FOX doing the same.

a black man open carrying should have known better.. in fact Ive changed my stance on open carry and no longer think of it as a good idea. Not only is it not a good idea to push something uncomfortable onto other people but its tactically unsound to let potential threats know what you are carrying.

being a black male openly carring is a death wish in many areas... thats just a fact.. its not even a good idea if one is white.. if one is willing to die for ones rights and get 15 minutes of fame it may be a good idea...

it may be your right but if you make someone uncomfortable and they call the cops, the cops will investigate. Why not just conceal? In the same argument I support unregulated sale and possession of suppressors. For hearing protection and to prevent drawing attention to oneself when practicing and more confidence in a home defense situation... after all the criminals will have/use the suppressor anyways. Anyone with ccw should be able to get a suppressor without the large fee, tax stamp, waiting period.

You might want to do some research before displaying your ignorance. Pro-gun people I talk with have been discussing this case, and the concerns about anti-gun wack-a-loons "SWATting" (calling in false/exaggerated reports) to police about people with legally owned firearms. I though that WM was a bunch of paranoid nuts-when you buy a gun there they box it and escort you through the store to the exit with it. Seeing how dumb some of the public is, this might not be such a bad idea.

I do wonder just what groups like Moms Demand Action or the Brady Bunch have to say about this.

All but one of those are before the non-indictment, and the one that is, isn't even from FOX. It's scraped from the AP. Did you read these articles or did you just google "FOX John Crawford?"

On top of that, none of the articles are even anywhere near your claim of "gun rights advocates are the ONLY ones that display any outrage about this." So again, did you actually READ the links or are you just trying to prove your ignorance about your own points?
