What a stupid article. The idiot who wrote it gave no hard data on the economic impact of this and made stupid declarations that somehow this would impact levels of Chinese peaching.

So, no one can explain how eliminating fishing helps fight climate change and ocean acidification.

Thus the idiot squatting in the WH lied again.

All the fish will start to gather in the "no fishing" zone and multiply out of control. Then the government will have to "fix the problem" with another regulation.

And yet you are fine with the other idiot making much bigger claims with no data whatsoever, because he is dreamy and has a D next to his name.

In other words, your topic fail on a forum is proof positive for you.
Wow. I never knew C-D was so influential.

Come out of the basement and get a life. The mold down there isn't good for your brain.

Once again, Obama acts against the best interests of the United States, and in the interest of radical environmentalists, who have no interest in American prosperity or the well-being of local people, but only in the worship of the Earth, their god.

This, as the article makes clear, will be to the delight of China, whose fishing industry will have no competition in the area.

I doubt that the local people affected by this "decree" watch Fox News.

The U.S. Fishing industry is probably not owned by Fox News either, nor are fisherman likely to be just Fox News viewers.

People who love sea food, and like for it to be available in abundance at affordable prices, are probably not all Fox News viewers.

Your asinine comment, and mention of your bet noir, Fox News, which you were doubtless itching to get in, reveals your ignorance, and is just plain silly.

I notice that you didn't mention any "damage." Could you enlighten us?

I never thought of fishing as being "damaging" before. I guess those of us who don't see it your way are just rubes. But, you are so enlightened. I guess we should bow down and worship at your feet.

This is a new one. I've not heard of this before. The ocean is so vast, it's hard to imagine that fishing has an impact on whatever this is.

Of course, one must wonder how a U.S. ban on fishing in the area, likely to be ignored by all other nations, could possibly contribute to an improvement in whatever this condition is.

The Leftist environmentalists love to manufacture crises! Humans are such destructive beings. The radical environmentalists might do the world (and all of us) a favor, reducing the human population and thus helping to "save the planet," by committing suicide.
