Love how he throws the intelligence community under the bus. The man takes responsibility for nothing. The thing of it none of the things he cites were state secrets and were well known even reported upon. He just doesn't read his briefings which has been confirmed before.

You mean like the guy before him did when he invaded Iraq in the first place and nothing he claimed to be the good reasons turned out to be true, hmmm, seems like there is not much difference between one guy and the next, oh except the American body count was far higher with the first guy.

And Obama used the word "we" because he accepted responsibility. I didn't hear Bush use the word "we" when he threw the intelligence community under the bus.

Yeah--sort of like Bush and Cheney blaming their misguided war on British intelligence.

Pretty naive to underestimate a bunch of terrorists that we armed and trained.
And then publicly call them a JV team and dismiss them like they are nothing.

Listening to the military is about the worse thing a sitting president can do. They've never seen a war they didn't like.

As to the OP...No, Obama OVERESTIMATED ISIS and continues to do so.

The intelligence and deserves to be thrown under the bus. What have they ever gotten right since the end of 1945?

Oh yeah...nothing.

It's an overfunded waste of an intelligence apparatus. The worst Intel apparatus in the first world by far.

ISIS was known to the Bush administration as early as 2004, although I can see how they were back burnered back then.

The Obama Administration, OTOH, should have been more aware.

Some background on ISIS aka ISIL can be found HERE
