"global warming" warmer than what?
A rock? Yes, Earth was a rock with nothing, zip, no life.
Another rock, Yes, All Suns die. Earth will be a rock again. If you are green/solar/tree people, prepare to die with the Sun.

No, Earth is not worth saving and you have no power to save Sun/Earth.

Aliens, don't bet on it if they are smart.
If we and aliens meet, there are couple possibilities.

1. Our Ebola or any earth life forms wipe them out.
2. Aliens Ebola or any Aliens life forms wipe us out.
3. We and Aliens wipe each other out.
4. We and Aliens both survive.

Which one you wanner bet?

Last, our body inside/outside are covered all over with Bacterias/Virus/Molds/Bugs(mostly outside).
Next time when you hug wild animals, think hard what you may get from them.

Actually, the earth is a big ball of iron with some nickle. All the interesting compounds and elements are near the surface. How fortunate for us.

This website on "how to destroy the earth" is actually quite informational. A lovely site for the budding evil genius:

It proves that global warming is a lie and further proves that liberal democrats use it and agendas such as global warming in order to destroy industries that allow people to support their families. This has been going on since NAFTA, but I am surprised here that people actually believe this administration in its fake efforts to help an agenda based product created by elites called global warming.
Yikes!

you think GM or BP/Exxon/Royal Dutch Shell can do this if they work together?
Is your point that effort or better understanding of our impact on the environment is futile?

These are the questions that I would ask everyone to consider:

Is there any conclusive and definitive evidence to prove this issue one way or the other at this time?

My guess is that any rational person would say "no".

Is it possible that humans have the ability to negatively impact their environment?

My guess is that any rational person would say "yes".

Is it important that we know if we are causing harm to our environment?

My guess is that any rational person would say "yes".

Is it better if we are made aware we are causing harm to the environment sooner, rather than later?

My guess is that any rational person would say "yes, sooner".

Whether or not we can agree on what actions to take, if any, it seems it would be prudent to understand what we are doing and decide if there is an appropriate actions that should be taken, sooner rather than later.

So, this issue is not really about anyone having a definitive answer, it is about something entirely else. In my view politics, denial, agendas and ideology are getting in the way of the quest for knowledge. I support finding out everything we can and taking it from there, as opposed to taking sides on an issue which remains undecided.

Many people believe that elected liberal democrats actually care about pollution, so called global warming and their efforts to help them which is a sad fact.
Do you think a Republican administration would have done it differently? Importing coal for cheaper than it can be produced and shipped within the US is simple economics. That's what globalization is about, for better or for worse. Both political parties backed NAFTA, I have news for you. Clinton opposed it at first, but he was talked into it by business leaders.

If you're upset about job loss for miners in Appalachia, write an OP-ED piece to the New York times or the main newspaper in your state. Write to your representatives in Congress to demand funding for job re-training for all those displaced workers.

Global warming isn't a lie. There's coal dust from coal-burning plants covering glaciers and ice sheets, absorbing the sun's heat (as anything black is known to do) instead of reflecting it (as anything white is known to do), and causing those ice fields to melt faster than is natural. It's alarming that the US is still so dependent on coal for energy. But even if the US stopped using coal altogether, there would still be China and Russia.

Good luck with your letter-writing campaign. Posting here isn't going to help anything.

Will this help global warming(the same pollution 3 hours away) or is this just to ruin American production? it seems that every single global warming effort to help with climate change they instead just take away American jobs and give them to other countries.
This makes no sense. Pollution from coal comes from coal fired power plants not from mining. Importing the coal from columbia would only increase the cost, not add to pollution. You could argue that transporting the coal adds to energy consumption but still, this is negligible compared to the air pollution from the plants.

Of course, as I mentioned earlier, there's no use for data any more in global warming. Any dissent with the "consensus" and you will be thrown out the window as a scientist. Climate science today is groupthink, not real science. And the politicians and elites are seizing on this to gain control and expand government power.
You and others here have used the term "elites" to malign a group of people you perceive to be promoting the global warming "agenda", would the infamous Koch brothers be considered part of America's "elite", after all, billionaires with an agenda to pollute with impunity should easily qualify them to be in that upper strata of American wealth that equates to power.........

Many people believe that elected liberal democrats actually care about pollution, so called global warming and their efforts to help them which is a sad fact.

My observation regarding links or video was a general view of what so many here suppose would be their "proof" of a particular assertion, in your posts you linked to a W. Virginia rag that obviously has a very biased view of the politics of coal. W.Virginia has coal sitting on the right hand of God, the two seem to be worshiped as one.

You nor any other of the armchair scientists have given us any "proof" of anything, let alone a valid argument that would make anyone think that coal is somehow connected to a positive for the US. What you aren't seeing is that these "elites" as you call them are actually people like the Koch brothers who are polluting the air with impunity. How do they pollute to the extent that they do without being part of something that suggests power? The buying of a resource is a far stretch from the rant that suggests those terrible libbburrrals are wanting to kill off all the populace of W. Virginia for some strange reason..

Yes people are being payed off, and yes this administration is certainly no different in that regard, ALL past presidents and their parties have been "partners" in the causes of pollution for the fact that polluters have the money to buy the candidates their seats, and that goes for county, state, or federal, money talks, coal, like any other resource is "owned" by the wealthy, I know you know that much, so who are these phantom "other" elites that can trump the likes of the Koch brothers? Do they have names, can we measure their wealth as opposed to the real power elites that run this nation and both political parties?

"Destroying industries".. Lets take a look at who really has been destroying the job market for all of America's workers, it's the "elites" all right , but not the ones you think make up that class, it's the wealthy power groups utilizing the various "think tank" organizations that create US government policy, all policy is the work of interest groups, and among those with the money are the super wealthy who get their way over that of the publics interest..

NAFTA, GATT, The World Bank, the IMF, WTO, The Council on Foreign Relations, ALL of these entities have a common interest, and that would be the fact that they serve this elite of industrialists, bankers, and politicians who are powerful enough to hijack a democratic nation for their own benefit.
