What do you guys think the next energy source will be? Wind, Solar, Bio fuel and could you explain why you say what you say.

I like the Solar Tower that the Aussies are working on. It appears to use nothing other than radiant energy to produce power. I don't see a downside:

Multiple solutions, we are going heavily solar in California on new home construction and conversion of older homes to photovoltaic electric power. It wouldn't work in the midwest, but perhaps some wind turbine assist with current generation may do the trick. Wouldn't rule out some georthermal apps while we are at it.

Is solar paneling enough to produce energy for one house hold or is it a supplement?

To do what?
replace baseload fosil/nuke fired generation currently installed or merely delay the installation of new assets?

Self sustaining in most months, and in times of low heat or air conditioning use it can be a supplement (i.e. - April, May, Oct, Nov in the NorCal area).

Chilling thought, I actually agree with NTC on this one.

To most problems there are no single solutions and I am not sure why it is that people think in terms of this. Wind, solar, wave, geo-thermal, and something most frightening, conservation of energy and energy efficiency.

The greatest thing holding back these technologies is cost. Thankfully of which is falling and becoming more efficient as time marches on.

I would be willing to bet that most people could shave 10% off their energy bills without spending more than 200 bucks, if they were so inclined. Not to mention simple things like altering ones driving habits and a well maintained auto.
