Unless you're an anarchist, agorist, voluntaryist, etc. who doesn't believe anyone is your master or your slave. We don't buy the idea that societal organization requires someone bossing us around and taking our money.
However, I agree with you that almost all people would rather give up their freedom for the illusion of safety.
Well thank God that Liberals like John Oilver are for more personal freedoms and less government intrusion in our lives.
