yes, psychologically no two people think alike. It is a complex concept that is not easily grasped by myopic thinkers.

Happens in every WAR, difference is the US Military goes out of it's way to avoid collateral damage whereas some countries and enemies either do not care or actually use civilians as shields.

You avoid collateral damage with boots on the ground. We drop bombs without any regard as to who might be in it's way.

Or in the case of dropping canisters of napalm on civilian villages those civilians magically became VC, evidence not required.
