Simple enough. Anyone who calls themselves an independent, isn't! It's just a cop out to being a moderate in either party, but still partisan. People have to grow a pair and take a stand on their beliefs, otherwise the extremists, who never back down from their beliefs, will hijack the parties and do with them whatever they like. Moderates are just taken for the ride.
