I just read this lovely young woman took her life today. Her timing for her death was her own and her choice when to end her life was her own.

Brittany was a wonderful spokesperson for the Death with Dignity movement. Hopefully, our leaders will consider her legacy.

I support assisted suicide. And in this specific case, I believe that this young woman is well within her rights to make this decision for herself.

Who are we to know how much pain is bearable for another person? I think it is incredibly arrogant to think we can make that decision for someone else. I also think it is cruel to make a person live on because we decided they should be able to bear their pain.
