the same reason Obama is bombing somalia, yemen, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, libya,

because alq is not a country, but extremists within countries

bush should have finished one before he started the other...and Obama would rather just lob bombs at a 'target' and care less if civilians get killed

Why do you apparently believe our assessment of threats to the US did not change on 9/11?

As you say, Clinton signed a bill allowing a subsequent POTUS to act at his/her discretion.

Regardless of Clinton signing a bill, my point is Bush used that granted discretion poorly and in a manner that caused more harm than good to the US.

The topic is Iraq, the country Cheney told us time after time had NOTHING to do with the 9/11 attacks and Saddam who viewed AG as an enemy. I have yet to see anything justifying the full scale invasion/occupation of Iraq launched after 9/11.

Clinton bombed Iraq, for the same reasons. Iraq's WMDs actually became stated under the Clinton Admin.

ok...correct...bush took his eyes off the ball...the primary target..the HQ of alq....Afghanistan....

he made mistakes...we still should have gone into Iraq...but later after we finished Afghanistan

remember one thing , these terrorists (by what ever name they want to call themselves) are in MANY countries

so ok, bush made mistakes....will you also admit that the NEXT potus (Obama) has made plenty of mistakes too???

ousting a dictator in Egypt , to allow a terrorist group like the muslim brotherhood to gain power....not the wisest move

ousting Kaddafi in libya....allowing a terrorist group to gain power...not the wisest move

attempting to overthrow the Syrian government, by giving help to the rebels (isis)...not a smart move

and of course the Ukraine bolo
