What part of "New" jobless claims did you miss or not understand?

Although I don't think anyone should put much stock in a single statistic, I think this is an interesting moment in that the US has never sustained this low of initial claims since the early 1970s.

But it's the same way the Repubs figured it the last time there was low unemployment under a repub president, what was that, 50 years ago.

No wonder you people look at Obama with dilated pupils.

That's the look of unquestioning Obama love!

Under Obama, it does seem like 50 years ago.

Sure, count those on unemployment, when there is a timeline to that statistic and then you don't get counted anymore. You may or may not be better off, but the food stamp & public assistance rise, tells if they were better off, or didn't find a job.
Wrong. Food stamp usage is trending down too. It would fall further if the Cons allowed for the raising of the minimum wage, which has not kept pace with rising costs of living.

raising the min wage will NOT lower welfare/food stamps

heck you qualify for food stamps as a family of 4 making 35k..... more than double min wage

raising the min wage will just hurt the poor and middleclass even more
