A black Baltimore bus driver organized a mob of 20 black people to assault a white family of three on her bus, which they did with gusto and pepper spray. All the while, the other black passengers hooted and hollered in encouragement.
All while the bus driver waited for the beating to finish so the attackers could get back on the bus. With her thanks."

Not moving to Baltimore was probably the best decision I ever made. I can't believe I ever considered moving there.

These animalistic hate crime attacks against whites are on the rise. I wonder why no one wants to speak out against this?

I like to think I keep up on local news pretty well, so why is this the first I have heard of this?
Where are our frequent posters who link race to everything that happens here in Baltimore, now?
I had to ride the MTA (primarily the #13 and #15 bus lines) daily for several years in the late '90's/early '00's and was frequently harassed because of my race by both other riders and bus drivers. It seems like things have gotten even worse.

I would hope that this is prosecuted as a HATE crime for all the perpetrators involved!

Disgusting. I don't know where they find some of these MTA drivers. The older operators are all professional (as we most of the young drivers), but there are a significant few of the younger operators that are extremely ignorant -- like this woman here. Given the relatively good pay, benefits and economically insulated job security, you would think that MTA would have enough of an application base to choose a better bunch, but what do I know. I’m worried what the agency will look like when most of the older operators retire.

Horrible, I'm really ashamed of my fellow Black folks. No wonder why I feel the racial tension when I've went to mostly White neighborhoods in Baltimore City.

Where did it say the family was targeted for their race? Sounds like the driver had beef with the white lady because she didn't move to the back of the "crowded bus." Some bus drivers can get real nasty...some passengers can be dkheads...none of that sounds racist. It sounds like certain folks are overly playing the hate crime victim roll...cause the lady clearly stated what the beef was about to the reporter. And its disgusting how certain folks blatantly turn incidents like this into something there not...consider the source.

Can you please provide some empirical evidence and statistical data to back this claim? Not saying you're incorrect, but please, help us here understand this current "rise in attacks against whites", and how it relates to hate? Thanks!
