I just watched the video on the linked article.

Say what you want, Obama does have a great sense of humor.

Sure they do. They make a percentage of every sale. American Express has the highest fees, that's why so many merchants don't accept Am Ex.

As for this story, I don't see it as a big deal. I wonder how much the bill was. If I was the restaurant owner, and the bill wasn't huge, I would have just covered it myself. It would be embarrassing to tell the President his credit card had been declined.

Nah, theres lots of valid things to criticize him on, just as with any president throughout history. I'm just blown away by all the non-relevant or exaggerated things people here post.

Then your credit card company isn't watching over your account well enough. His was declined because the company thought it was being fraudently used since the president doesn't use it much. Like most credit companies should do.

They do not get the interest on the unpaid balance and that is why they want to remain in debt, they even try getting you to spend more by raising your limits.

Correct, I see someone actually read the story in the link, unlike the OP.

Correct
Want to criticize the President or any other politician for that matter then do it on the issues and their actions or stand related to that issue, I am all for that. Criticizing or attempting to make him look bad over something like this is nonsense, reminds me of some whining about the fact that he put his feet up on his desk, like every other President in the past has done, of for of all things chewing gum, good grief don't they it only makes them look like they are the ones with the issue.

There is no need to critize comrade obama or attempt to make him look bad, he does an incredible job of that all by his corrupt, incompetent self on a daily basis..
