Did you read your first link? There's no pandemic exercises. It's an educational series on how the financial industry would be impacted and how they can be prepared by any pandemic. Impacts to public transportation; how to be prepared if employees have to work from home; delivery of essential state services... And it appears anyone can join in the webinars. how about you participate a couple of them and report back?

The most important post of the day?

Hardly.

I'm glad that they're preparing for all possibilities. Would you rather that they WEREN'T drilling for a larger outbreak? Seriously?

Turn off Coast to Coast. You'll live longer and be happier.

it says Full Scale in November.

concerning skin contact, that's only being reported today (although i posted yesterday)
see this "9 Minutes Ago" link
NEW GUIDELINES

The government's new guidelines were expected to tell U.S. health workers to cover skin and hair completely when dealing with Ebola patients. The old guidelines, based on World Health Organization protocols, said workers should wear masks but allowed some skin exposure. The virus is spread through direct contact with the bodily fluids of infected people and it is not airborne.

so we go from "bodily fluids" to skin brushing awfully fast.
how about skin to can of beans to skin ? wanna think about that ?

You are far more likely to be struck by lightning than even coming with shouting distance of a person with Ebola, feel better now?
