Judging from the results of this poll, I'd say this board leans right.

I participate on some left wing forums. This is certainly not one of them.
I find this forum to be both right wing and seriously of the christian only view.
There are some religious who are downright lovely and open-minded, thoughtful and kind, generous of spirit, but they're the minority.
I find that most right wing people on this forum seem to be very "religious."

So far, the results say:

25 Right
25 Left
19 Middle
4 Not sure

I think it's safe to say that this forum board is definitely even. For certain topics, the collective we might have more liberal ideals. For other topics, the collective we are more conservative. The reason is because the people in the middle somewhere lean left and right depending on the issue at hand.

The theory in political science is that people learn things like religion and political leanings from their parents and don't take the time to think for themselves.

I submit that maybe its time to think for yourelf rather then allowing others to spoon feed you.
While this is true in many cases, I find it interesting to see this written by someone who wants everyone who even looks at a female locked up as a sex offender.

I find it to be pretty even over all. There are plenty of far right and far left, along with moderate right and moderate left, as well as those who are mostly in the middle. Seems to be surges from time to time of predominantly right wing or left wing posts, but usually it balances out in a short amount of time. I'd say the moderators have done a great job in keeping things decent. I got a couple of warnings myself, but once I chilled and thought about it I realized my points could have easily been made without flaming.

I think your whole statement is, how did you put it, a "Broad generalization".
no.. I am more refering to someone who is down the middle but only has beef with one side.... that doesn't make them down the middle....the question asked is which way do you lean?

gotcha... The maybe the term moderate would better apply than "middle"?

You need to spend more time on college campuses. For folks of your persuasion, it's a warm bath of the "proper" kind of intolerance.

Actually I much rather spend time with mature people that know that the world is not black and white and a lot more complicated than we'd like to think.
