I hope it is not to imply the surrounding areas of Seattle is not liberal minded because it is. Seattle has always been liberal, but in recent years is only a few ticks more normal than places like San Francisco or Berkley.
He was probably pissed over the propaganda over "stolen lands".
He was a popular kid, not a loner/loser, and it appears to be personal/girlfriend issues and not something that can be or should be twisted to fit a left or right agenda.

From what I read those kids he shot were his friends so it was not random.
